Marble is not only beautiful, but also durable stone. Nevertheless, marble surfaces require some care.
Marble is composed of calcium carbonate, which makes it susceptible to the effects of different acids. It is softer and more porous than granite, which is why it quickly loses its luster, scratches, cracks, potholes and stains appear on it faster.
To keep marble surfaces clean, dust must be removed at least once a week using a soft cloth (such as microfiber or suede) and a PH-neutral cleaner specifically designed for marble. Never use conventional cleaning products, as they can corrode the surface of the marble over time. Just do not use hard abrasive sponges and other tools that can leave scratches on the stone surface.
If stains and dirt have already appeared on the marble, you can try to remove them with special concentrated cleaning solutions, which are available in the form of a paste, spray or gel.
For a longer preservation of Shine and purity of the marble surface, for additional protection from external influences, you can use special impregnation or wax, after application of which the surface must be carefully polished.
